About the PLAB

About the PLAB

Welcome to AIS at AllZoneBiz

At AIS (AllZone Info Solutions), we are committed to helping international medical graduates achieve their dream of practising medicine in the United Kingdom. Our comprehensive resources and expert guidance are designed to help you navigate the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) exam, ensuring that you are well-prepared to succeed.

Understanding the PLAB Exam

The Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) test is a requirement for international medical graduates who wish to practice medicine in the UK. The PLAB test assesses whether doctors who qualified abroad have the necessary skills and knowledge to work as a doctors in the National Health Service (NHS).

The Two Parts of the PLAB Test

PLAB Part 1:

180 single-best-answer questions

This is a written multiple-choice exam consisting of 180 single-best-answer questions. The questions are based on clinical scenarios that international doctors are likely to encounter while working in the NHS. The exam tests your ability to apply knowledge to the care of patients rather than just testing your ability to remember facts.

PLAB Part 2:

Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)

This is an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). It consists of 18 scenarios, each lasting eight minutes, designed to reflect real-life settings, including a mock consultation or an acute ward. The focus is on testing your clinical and communication skills, particularly in situations typical of those encountered by doctors in the NHS.

Our Mission and Vision

At AIS, our mission is to provide international medical graduates with the resources, support, and guidance they need to pass the PLAB exam and secure a position within the NHS.
